Forty-Ninth Spool of Thread - [Voice/Action]

[For the last few weeks, things have been a little crazy. Rhyme appeared in Luceti during the last cycle, and Shiki was doing her best to make sure her younger friend was getting settled. With that, she was also making sure she was balancing her time between her housemates and her work which was proving to be a bit more difficult as the spring season was kicking into full-swing. She had been spending a lot of time at the shop lately, but only part of that time was spent making clothes.

The other part? If anyone had come into All Passions at all during the last month or so, they would see that Shiki's been making very slow progress in cleaning out her storage closet in the back of the building. Shelves are being rearranged and racks are being filled in order to compensate for the extra storage bins and boxes she's dragging out. She's also been working with some sheet metal she picked up from the smithy last week, lining the inside of the room and making sure no cracks are left uncovered. She wants it to be perfect for Minato and his darkroom.

Seeing how it's a nicer day this week than it has been, she's going to take a break and go outside of the shop, sitting down on the porch with Mr. Mew. She's idling doodling in her journal for a few moments before she decides to address the village as a whole.]

...so I hope everybody's okay now! Last week was totally crazy, but what else is new in this place? I can't believe how different everyone was though when their memories were altered. I guess I can't blame anybody for being so far into their mindset though.

It just reminds me of some piece of advice someone once gave me. Well, maybe not advice, but wisdom at least. "The world is more than what you just see." [She goes quiet then, as though she's thinking on those very words and how they relate to her herself. But she comes back with another slight grin.]

Was there anyone who actually preferred their other memories compared to the originals?

[Memories. The ones from her - fake - alternate life are all but faded, but she still remembers things from that week. The pure camaraderie between her and Helios, how nice and fun it'd been knowing there was someone there always watching her back. Not that Helios wasn't watching her back now, but they had history. Good history.

She still considered him a brother now, but she felt like maybe... maybe she still had a family back home.]

I think there were nice parts. Of the other memories, I mean. I don't remember much, but things felt nice.

[A chuckle, then a quick change of subject.]

It's funny...my memories weren't exactly changed too much. Just little pieces. Nice is better than nothing though.

That's kind of a silly question, isn't it? I've got a huge section of blue.

Mine weren't changed much either, but my friend was shifted to my world. I can only what it would be like if it were the opposite.

Excellent, I do love blue. Have any cute sundresses? Nothing too backless, goes past the thighs?

[As of late, Rhyme hasn't really stepped out of the house or left Beat's side for too long. Mainly because the experiment seemed to have startled them both a little bit. It doesn't help that Rhyme feels guilty for just abandoning Beat like that...

But as he seems to be doing all right by himself at home today, Rhyme decided to go and visit Shiki. Get some fresh air too. As she gets closer to the shop, she spots her on the porch, smiles and waves a little]

Hey, Shiki!

[She looks up from her journal briefly when she hears her name being called, spotting Rhyme a few feet away.] Hey! [She waves back, motioning for the girl to come join her and Mr. Mew. There's even a few extra chairs on the porch.] Good to see you out today.

[And she will definitely take that invitation to join her and her cute plushie! She gets up to the porch and plops down in a seat next to Shiki] I'm glad to be out. It's been a few days since I've actually gotten out like this.

A really long time ago. I think that was only like a day or so after we first met.

Sure, no problem. Sorry it took longer than I thought, but last week kind of threw things off. You can move in whenever you want.

[Hisoka doesn't have a reason to be hanging around All Passions today, but now that he's himself and his extra baggage is being handled, it stands to reason that he and Shiki probably need to talk.]

Not really... I don't hate them but I think I prefer to be normal again.

[It had been fun, kind of, to be from the same world as Hughes was. But his life there, even if it had important things, didn't feel particularly special after all. It wasn't a bad life but he prefers the one he has, even with the mistakes he has done.]

I think that by far my preferred alternate life is still the one when I was from here and had a family here.

Should I be calling you "dad" still then? [She's kind of fond that particular alternate life as well. She was just telling Kyon about it.] I didn't change that much in the last week, but it sounds like you did.
