There's a lot of frustration for Neku too, mixed with confusion. He knows he likes Shiki, but he's just not ready to act on it. Even if she won't wait for him. He's not fitting in all that well with her new life here and it frusturates him, because she'll move on without him, even as friends. There's also mixed feelings about Haruki.
