[Shiki's currently busy moving things around in her shop, rearranging new displays on either side of the door. These displays? Well, they're hats, specifically ones that Molly made before she left and Shiki herself is wearing a new hat instead of her usual one.]

...I always knew that girl was smarter than most. Hope she made it back okay.

Just as a heads up? All Passions now has a whole new line of hats for the summer. Think of this as a PSA.

[She's going to continue derping around for a bit before she'll turn around the sign to read "closed" and get ready to go home. Feel free to either come into the shop before she closes and turns off the lights, or catch her on the way home. Of course, she'll be seeking out a few people when she gets back to House 10 as well...]

...what'd he tell you, exactly? Any details?

[ Not sure just how much he wants to say, and... aside from that, he doesn't want it spread around that Josh tried to kill a man. Getting the guy in trouble would draw way too much attention to all this. ]

I'm going on to five months now. It seemed like a long time.

[If the thought-bubble thing was still going on, Paru might see Shiki's thought of "that's probably what Haruki would say."] So what, you're going to wait and put the hats on her while she's asleep?

He said that you got shot. [That is to say, she has no idea how you can be totally fine after something like that.]

*... it is good she cannot see that, considering she was just roundhouse kicking Haruki in the head earlier.*

That's because five months still is a long time. There are times this place doesn't seem that bad, but then things start getting out of hand again and you're reminded just how long it's been since you've seen home.

Yeah. It's been one of those times lately. [His mind drifts backs to Paru's story. Everything he heard from her and how he couldn't do anything to help at all.] I'm looking forward to the "doesn't seem that bad" to kick in again.

[because that thread's still going I don't know if SHE knows that yet. But it's probably a good thing Paru can't see, yes.]

It's almost a pattern...one month of "not seeming too bad", six months of "this is ridiculous, get me out of here." I guess all we can do is make the best of it, right?

[ He taps a point just below his stomach, smiling grimly. Oh, it was hours before he was not-dying and days before he could walk and talk and make coffee, maybe the better part of a week before Mr. H was anything like totally fine. But now he is, and very glad about it. ]

Oh, by the way. I'm Sokka. Sokka Thunderaxe. [Hmm, he hesitated there. Maybe he wasn't as comfortable with that last name as he thought.] I work over at the smithy/

Can't blame him. Even after all he's seen in the UG, this had to be a rough thing to watch. Last I talked to him, he... well, seemed to feel like a lot of it was his fault.

[There's just this look at the last name. Thunderaxe? There's no way that can be real, but she'll play along.] I'm Shiki Misaki. [Because it's probably easier to introduce herself that way.] The smithy? Did you know Lloyd when he was still here?

Where's the fun in that?

[He shakes his head at that.] Nope. He and Edward were sent home around the same time I arrived, so I never saw him. I guess you knew him?

Yeah. Since the smithy's kind of close to here, we got to talking and everything. Actually he helped me build part of this place when I first got it started. Nice guy. Maybe now that Edward came back, Lloyd will too some day.
