[There's a bit of a static feed as the journal turns on, and Shiki doesn't say anything for a moment. She's busy reading over everything from the last few days, but she finally decides to talk to the village at large.]

So. Hypothetical question. ...how long is too long to wait? For people, for objects, for anything. Give me your thoughts on this.

It's fall now, isn't it? I should get back to decorating. So another question...favorite thing about Halloween? Decoration-wise, holiday-wise, anything. This is pretty important.

[Important in the sense that when she's done addressing the journal, she's busy flitting about her shop. She's been spending the last few days rearranging all of the furniture and putting up new shelves and such with Haruhi's help. And now. There are fake maple leaves all over the walls. And outside. Along with some cut-out paper pumpkins strung along the walls. Villagers are free to find her outside on the porch of All Passions staplegunning things to the building and such.]

That's right. Haruhi's been running the Brigade for as long as I've known her. [And prior to that, Haruki was doing it. But it's better not to confuse new people with the he was a she bit.] They tend to throw a lot of events and parties during the year.

How long are you guys going to let it go on?

Right, there's the autumn equinox party coming up this weekend. I'm looking forward to that. It's nice having a group bringing cheer and fun events around.

Probably not much longer. I'm scared to see what he'd do.

That's why she keeps doing it, I think. The equinox party's one of their more tame events. You'll enjoy it though, trust me. There hasn't been an event the Brigade's put on that hasn't been fun.

It's a good thing to have around here. We could use more cheer around here. Any idea what's planned for the night?

Pretty sure it's just going to be lots of food and fireworks. Maybe music. Haruhi's been pretty vague about it, now that I think about it. [It doesn't help that the girl's actually in a boy's body and vice versa. But Shiki's unaware of that.]

Sounds like it'll be a fun evening. I'll have to see if Giles wants to go.

[There'll be a second or two before Ginia realizes she she's written followed by the last sentence quickly being scribbled out.]

Sure, bring everybody you can. It's the people that make the Brigade events special. [Lucky Ginia, she's not going to ask questions.]

Guess you can't really have an event without a lot of people showing up for it. [Thank you for not commenting, bonus points there.]

Do you know if she's accepting new members?

Exactly. She'll be really happy if a ton of people are there.

For the Brigade? ....probably. Haruhi's always recruiting. But I'll be honest? She's my best friend but she's also one of the hardest people to get along with. You have to really kind of wow her to get her to like you.

...or you just bug her forever like I did.
