So...this is it huh? Wake up one morning alone in bed and find that your best friend's gone on without you.
You could have at least said goodbye, Neku...
Sorry everybody, I'm going to have to postpone the shop just a little longer than expected. Apologies in advance, especially to my models who've been so nice and patient. I swear I'll work harder to finish soon.

If you're sure... Akuma are created by the Millennium Earl. He visits those who have lost their loved ones and uses their despair against them. He promises a way to bring them back and when you do call their soul back, it's trapped in the Akuma's frame and used to power it. The Akuma is ordered to kill you then it wears your skin so it can kill other humans. Exorcists fight to free those souls so they can rest properly.

And well...have you ever heard of the Reapers' Game?

No, I haven't. What is it?

As for the Reapers' Game...it's this competition for people who've died, supervised by Reapers. Players are given these pins to read peoples' minds and use psychs to fight, but only really talented people can use them well. They let other Players know who's all in the game. Every Player must bid what they hold dearest to participate. Each Player must forge a pact with another Player to prevent Noise, which are just like these really annoying things that can kill you, from attacking. Over the course of seven days, the Players need to complete certain missions. If any of the pairs pass, everybody's okay but if nobody does...then you're completely erased, or you can be erased during the missions. If you make it past all seven days, then you have to defeat the Game Master in order to either become a Reaper, come back to life, or a few other options.

That sounds horrible! Why would anyone play with the dead like that?

And well it wasn't like we really had a choice. It was either play or just accept the fact we're dead.
