I upset Neku, again, because I'm apparently too indecisive and can't realize that the world doesn't think the same way I do, and I don't know what to say to make him feel better about me still liking him. Haruki punched Minato in the face because he got annoyed Minato was asking too many questions probably and he's suddenly being as affectionate as a Suzumiya can get. And now Minamimoto attacked Minato? What the hell do I have to do to fix everything!? I just want everything to go back to normal...well and maybe Minamimoto eliminated, but we'll take care of that.

What does he want anyway? He shot Minato and broke his arm. He's got a bigger plan, but what is it?

I know it's been about a week and some of you have already talked to me about this, but um, if you were shot with that gun Rosalie had and we did something you didn't like, feel free to come back to the shop and we'll fix it but you know, I never make people look ugly so...

Tifa, I did finish your blouses whenever you're ready. They're at the shop right now. Speaking of the shop, Kanji, MJ, Rosalie? We should figure out some kind of work schedule you know? I'll be around full-time again in about two weeks but it'd help to have a schedule anyway.

I've figured out...the weather's pretty bipolar here or something.

Oh and um...anybody wondering, I should probably mention that Minato's going to be a little...off for a while.

[Shiki is actually currently sitting in the clinic in Minato's room to make sure he doesn't leave again before he's supposed to like he did last time. Housemates feel free to assume she didn't come home last night. Also, she's assuming that Mitsuru told Aegis/Fina/whoever about Minato's condition so she's not going to bother saying it, if anything so unnecessary people like Minamimoto don't show up or something. Who knows where her brain goes.]

I'll skip the boy-drama and go straight to the main most recent problem. Remember that guy who attacked me and broke my leg? Now he got to one of my friends too. Same treatment, shot him and broke a limb, in Minato's case, an arm.

What? Oh--alright. This guy is seriously asking for me to hunt him down and personally teach him some manners.

[She means it--as in, you can probably hear her rummaging for weapons right now.]

[suddenly sounds a lot more strict than usual] Don't you even dare. Minato's not helpless, he's probably an even better fighter than I am and Minamimoto still got to him.

This Mini-motor guy, or whatever? He has hurt people. By definition, he's the sort of thing I'm supposed to put a stop to.

[Not to make light of a bad situation, but:] I've defeated the original and very first Evil, I think a weirdo with a math fetish won't be that tough.

I'm serious, Buffy. You don't know what this guy's actually capable of. As a friend I'm asking you to just stay away from him until Neku and I can figure out how to wipe him out.

A-alright. But, you two should seriously consider a wiping-out plan that includes yours truly. I mean, not only do I got the Slayer thing going for me, but an aquaintence recently arrived with some serious mojo knowledge. Might be able to cobble together a...a holding spell, or something. [She's pulling it out of her ears, at this point. Mostly, she prefers to guess at how magic works. But her priority it so convince Shiki of her usefulness.]

[Sounds a little better because hey at least Buffy's trying] I don't doubt that. It's just...sketchy. Minamimoto attacked me, and Neku, and now Minato? I don't need a Broken-Buffy on the list either. Gotta figure out just what game he's playing first.

Okay--well, what has he been up to? Besides attacking you and people you know. Oh--is that it? You? Are you the game?

I have no idea. He goes around yelling at people and making junk heaps, attacking at random but that's it. I have to wonder if it's not leading up to something bigger.

Well, he's all mathy, right? So it probably isn't random. More like a pattern or--or--[oh, she's reaching! Trying to remember high school math class!]--a sequence? Like that Fibonachi guy and his sequence. That's pretty mathy, isn't it?

...but that still doesn't explain why. Ugh, I totally don't need to deal with this right now too!

Where are you? I can make sure that the folks around here modify their patrols a bit over the next few days, keep an eye on your area. We're out doing the patrols, anyway. Me and Angel and sometimes Faith--maybe even Wesley.

Currently I'm at the clinic, and I probably will be until Minato either gets cleared to go home, he kicks me out, or Haruki and Neku drag me back to the house.

...wait. Why are you guys patrolling anyway?

Patrolling was something that I did nightly at home, so the habit's stuck--even here. Best way to find trouble is to go looking for it.

Please tell me you're at least staying out of trouble.

The most trouble I've gotten into in the past week and a half has been helping Kirk prank his friend, the good doctor. Which? Considering Bones' temper? Quite the considerable amount of trouble. But not the lethal kind. [A huff!] Which is the kind of trouble Angel is stubbornly trying to keep me out of by trying to persuade me out of patrolling.

Don't let him talk you out of it, I guess. What did you and Kirk end up doing?

[Now she's the one who is glad for the filter.]

Doctor McCoy accidentally sedated himself. So Kirk and I got creative with some eyeliner and a package of pancake mix.

...that's terrible. Was Bones really mad?

Mad? Yeah. But I think he slanted his anger a little more towards Jim, than at me. He's not much with the sense of humour.

But at least it was fun for you.

[With what sounds like a deflated sigh, she admits:] The funnest part was the with Jim part. Not so much the prank itself.
