Twenty-Fifth Spool of Thread-[Voice, Action for Housemates]

I really think I'm starting to go crazy here. I'm making clothes...for eggs. I guess I could try to push it as a children's line though. They're turning out pretty cute, so if anybody else who's doing the school assignment wants outfits for their "children", feel free to ask.

Things have gotten strange here lately...okay, more than strange. What's Minamimoto planning now? Neku, I want to ask you something.

[Shiki's sitting on the couch in the living room of House #10 with several little egg-sized outfits on the table. Feel free to bug her housemates. Or close friends who notice she's not in the shop today.]

It's cloudier than cloudy outside, so I didn't think you'd be kicking it at the non-existent beach. It's way too early in the day to be having any kind of out-and-about fun, hence house was the only option.

[Smile and just going to slip inside and oh god what is this--] Are you making clothes for pixies now?

Yeah, I've never really been the type to appreciate the clouds, not to mention leave my house before eleven unless totally necessary. [She shuts the door behind the two of them and wanders over to where Buffy's looking, giving her a sheepish smile.] Not exactly. Even worse. [And Shiki's going to reach over the side of the couch and pick up a carton of eggs.]

You're making clothes...for eggs?

[Are you okay, Shiki? Do you have a fever? Maybe you should lie down for a bit. Clearly, Buffy's not in the know.]

At school they assigned us into pairings to take care of an egg for a week. It's supposed to be our child.

[Oh, goodness. Her face drops.]

I had to do that, once. In high school. Not so much with the good.

Did you have to do it with eggs too?

Yep. For starters? I was absent the day the thing was assigned so I became Buffy the Single Parent. Then, turns out all the eggs were actually little demon-holding pods that opened up and spidery demon things attached to people's backs. Took them over. It was a thing.

...[Looking at the carton of eggs rather suspiciously now.] Are you kidding me?

[She holds a hand up by her face.] Slayer's honour.

Well that just made me lose my appreciation for omelets for the rest of my life. I don't know how you do it.

I've developed a healthy talent for tuning stuff out. Otherwise I'm sure I'd be destined to become a cat-lady.

[She flops into a seat, eying your carton of eggs.] These seem decidedly non-evil, though.

That's true enough. I can't really see you as being a cat-lady anyway.

Surprisingly, the eggs are a lot easier to use as models than actual people.

I guess eggs don't fidget.

They also don't argue with me and let me dress them however I want.

You, Shiki? You're the Fuhrer of Fashion. [It's said with uber-affection. And some laughter.] Pity on the arguers who get in your way.

And I'm totally okay with that. Neku's a good example of what happens when people argue with me about clothes.

So--how is everyone doing--you and Neku included?

I think everything finally settled down. The house hasn't been destroyed for about a week which is usually a good sign. ...plus I think Neku's happier. Somebody he liked from our world showed up.

Oh, a friend? Talk about a bonus.

Mr. H was kind of like our mentor back where we're from. Neku grew kind of fond of him.

[Her eyes are on the potential egg clothing as she speaks.] That's...good. Is it good? I hope it's good.

It's very good. He's been a lot more calm about things.

More calm? Shiki, he didn't exactly come off as excitable in the first place.

Less tense then. I don't know, he just seems happier.

Well, good. Happier is definitely an improvement and if anyone can muster some of that around here? All the power to them.
