[Shiki's currently busy moving things around in her shop, rearranging new displays on either side of the door. These displays? Well, they're hats, specifically ones that Molly made before she left and Shiki herself is wearing a new hat instead of her usual one.]

...I always knew that girl was smarter than most. Hope she made it back okay.

Just as a heads up? All Passions now has a whole new line of hats for the summer. Think of this as a PSA.

[She's going to continue derping around for a bit before she'll turn around the sign to read "closed" and get ready to go home. Feel free to either come into the shop before she closes and turns off the lights, or catch her on the way home. Of course, she'll be seeking out a few people when she gets back to House 10 as well...]

[Well it probably just never came up that he's alive again...and she wasn't paying attention. Shiki's been busy, let's just go with that.]

[ Oh. Neku must've told her about... that explains it. Well, really, he never did die in the first place -- angelic healing psychs are useful like that. ]

Oh. Yeah.

[Well Shiki didn't know, but she's suddenly aware she's just gawking at him. She'll just change her directions and wander over to him] When did you come back?

I never left.

[ Yeahhh rubbing at the nape of his neck awkwardly, like it wasn't bad enough when he had to chat with Neku about this. At least this means the guy probably hasn't relayed the whole 'guess who taught Sho how to get all Taboo-y and powerful' bit of info yet. ]

...but Neku said...[Don't mind her, she's going to look mildly confused about how this is even possible.]

...what'd he tell you, exactly? Any details?

[ Not sure just how much he wants to say, and... aside from that, he doesn't want it spread around that Josh tried to kill a man. Getting the guy in trouble would draw way too much attention to all this. ]

He said that you got shot. [That is to say, she has no idea how you can be totally fine after something like that.]

...yeah. Right here.

[ He taps a point just below his stomach, smiling grimly. Oh, it was hours before he was not-dying and days before he could walk and talk and make coffee, maybe the better part of a week before Mr. H was anything like totally fine. But now he is, and very glad about it. ]

Phones should know, he saw it happen. I bled all over the guy and everything.

[Don't mind her, her eyes naturally wander to where he's pointing at.]

...Neku wouldn't really talk to me about it. It took forever just for him to tell me what happened.

[ He notices but doesn't particularly mind. ]

Can't blame him. Even after all he's seen in the UG, this had to be a rough thing to watch. Last I talked to him, he... well, seemed to feel like a lot of it was his fault.

He wouldn't expand on it. Why would it be his fault though?

... kind of a long story. He tell you who did it?

No. He didn't tell me much.

... Joshua. He wasn't in his right mind at the time, didn't mean to do it, but it was Joshua.

[ He hopes. But Mr. H doesn't have perfect faith in what he's saying right now. ]

[This was probably not a good thing to say to Shiki, seeing how "well" they get along.] Are you kidding me? Why?

He was... sick. Real sick. Barely conscious, not thinking straight. Phones panicked and brought me along so I could help the guy, but I just wound up startling him. Gun went off. That's all.

[She's not sure if she quite buys it, but Shiki's not stupid. She knows it's probably a totally touchy subject and therefore should not be talked about.]

Is he still sick? [Because if there's still a sick gun-wielding Joshua around...hell no.]

[ He's still wary of this conversation, but -- well, he'd rather tell the story on his own terms than have her go to Neku for answers. Seems like she'll get them one way or another. ]

Nah. I fixed him. It's not gonna happen again.

I hope not. That's just way too much.

Me and Josh haven't been on great terms, lately. Got in a fight or two. Even if he did get messed up again, I doubt he'd be a danger to anyone but me.

Not really a danger to me, even. Came outta it just fine, see?

You still got shot though, Mr. H. I don't see how you can just brush it off like it's nothing.

[ Hanekoma isn't even angry over it; that wore off pretty fast, faded to sadness or regret or whatever it is he's dealing with. It's why he's been so determined to avoid the guy, lately. Suffered through one attempt at a civil conversation, and that was enough for him. ]

I should've been expecting it. Should've been able to prevent it, too. It's like -- didn't Phones nearly off you, once, and you still forgave him for it?

I--that's totally different! Joshua's just...and Neku's...it's just different, okay?

[ Trying to, at least. It's not easy when Josh doesn't trust him in return. ]
