So. Hypothetical question. ...how long is too long to wait? For people, for objects, for anything. Give me your thoughts on this.

It's fall now, isn't it? I should get back to decorating. So another question...favorite thing about Halloween? Decoration-wise, holiday-wise, anything. This is pretty important.

[Important in the sense that when she's done addressing the journal, she's busy flitting about her shop. She's been spending the last few days rearranging all of the furniture and putting up new shelves and such with Haruhi's help. And now. There are fake maple leaves all over the walls. And outside. Along with some cut-out paper pumpkins strung along the walls. Villagers are free to find her outside on the porch of All Passions staplegunning things to the building and such.]

Sounds like a good idea. I guess dinner's a lot easier though now that it's just the three of us...Beat'll eat anything and you and I tend to have the same tastes anyway. There's...no conflict.

I guess we're just made for each other. Lucky us. [Like three peas in a pod or something.]

Well I mean...we at least have room for someone else. You know? I like to think that we're all made to be together no matter what. [She's aware she's rambling.] It's always been in fours for us. Back home it was me, Neku, Beat and his little sister Rhyme. Now it's us and you instead.

[Beat has a sister? News to him. He should ask about that... when he's in his old body again.]

Um. Sure. Though we're a pretty strange group. I mean, you have your walking cat and Beat thinks he's an eggdaddy.

[Baby sister that he loves and will turn to the dark side for, doncha know. Long story, Shiki could probably babble if she wanted.]

Mr. Mew's not really a walking cat. [But she starts giggling anyway.] I wonder how long we should let him keep thinking that. He seems to be taking really good care of that egg.

Until we decide to replace it with a chick, of course. [What else were they going to do?]

I thought about that. But where are we going to get a chick?

There's a farm isn't there? I bet there's tons of them just running around.

Not far? About a half hour's walk from the plaza.

Knowing Beat? It'll be about as long as we tell him to. He's pretty determined not to mess up.
