Thirty-Third Spool of Thread-[Written/Action]

[Considering that the weather's fairly decent today, Shiki's decided today is a good day to spend outside. For anybody who's known her long enough, they might recognize the crate that she's sitting on as the one she used to use before the porch around the shop was built. Today, she's facing the shop and just looking it over, sketching out some things on a piece of paper. Soon enough though, she starts writing a message to the community]

I think I know the obvious answer, but where would be the best place to get fresh flowers when I'm ready for them? And, you know, planters and dirt and stuff.

Also, the spring line's just about finished if anybody needs something for the new season.

That's generally the reaction most people have. Yeah, I've lived with Haruki since last summer.

[Harry Potter and his Adventures in Crossdressing? Probably not smart ever. But Shiki's happy to give him attention right now in order to prove she's right.] See how much better you look when things actually fit? Who knew that was under all of the bagginess.

I remember he drove her crazy sometimes. How can you stand it?

[Yeah, definitely leaving the crossdressing to the adventures of DanRad. But seeing actual results of dressing well have him more excited about it all.] Yeah, you have a point there. I certainly didn't know this was there.

He drives everybody crazy, me included. It's a gift though, he's another one of my closest friends here. I've just learned how to handle him.

[I like those adventures. Shiki's just going to grin. Victory shall be hers.] And this is why I own the shop and why I make the clothes. I really do know what I'm talking about.

I haven't talked to him yet. I suspect I'd fly off the handle about the way he treats Hermione. You just have a way with people, I suppose.

[DanRad's adventures are awesome and they will only get more awesome in the future. Harry will acknowledge defeat, but it's a win in the end for both of them.] I can see that now!

Yeah he's a really complicated person to really handle well most of the time. Maybe I do, maybe I don't. Guess it's like magic.

[This is true so long as he doesn't die. Shiki will agree to that.] Take off the blazer, I want you to see yourself in just the fitted t-shirt.

Some people are like that. [Like said experiment guy.] Like magic, you think? [The comparison amuses him.]

[He needs to be kept alive by sheer force of his awesomeness. And maybe one day Shiki will find out Harry can sew, but baby steps! A bit more confident now, he'll take off that blazer.] What do you think?

Can't live with them, can't live without them. [She got the feeling.] Something like that. [Oh you.]

[She might, then she might pounce. She just nods in approval once the blazer's gone.] You already know what I think. What do you think?

[He chuckles at that. Magic, indeed.]

[Harry Potter, housewife extraordinaire. If only he was savvy enough to do the sexy blazer over the shoulder pose, but he's a doofus.] I think I feel a bit more normal without the blazer. It looks good, but it's really formal for this place.

[But we enjoy Harry as a doofus, so it's totally okay.] Like I said, the blazer's for casual formal, like dates or whatever. [Busy poking and prodding.] T-shirts really emphasize your arms.

[Harry's an adorable doofus and people should love him. But Harry doesn't think he'll be going on a date any time soon.] We'll see how far that goes. [But he's not dismissing the idea of keeping it. And whoa, that's poking and prodding is kinda weird.] Is that a good thing?

[So...Harry's like Padfoot the derptronus? Shiki doesn't think he will either considering, but she'll try anyway.] You never know. It could be sooner than you think. [Sorry Harry, Shiki's very hands-on.] I'd say so. You have really nice arms and abs, you deserve to show that off.

[Yes. That's why they get along so well. At least he'll be prepared? It might be nice if there's another formal event.] Knowing my luck? Probably not. [She'll just have to get used to his fidgeting. Touching is weird! Despite the blush, he feels more comfortable about that. WHat makes nice arms, exactly?] ... Oh. Um... thanks.

[Well that's precious. Shiki likes to help plan ahead.] Don't sell yourself so short, Harry. [Only if he gets used to her prodding.] Sure. I mean it, you're...very well toned. And don't think it's weird I'm saying that, I'm just throwing it out there. So now you have your element, form-fitting t-shirts and nice jeans. You're welcome.

[But how well does dirt stick to it? Because his dates can inevitably end in fights.] It just takes me a long time to get around to that. [He will, eventually.] I never really noticed that, so that's the weird part. But it's your job to notice these things, right? So that's not really that weird, since it's subjective. This style really isn't so bad.

[Shiki will get mad if you ruin her clothes man, just a warning.] We already had the discussion about time. I think you'll be fine. [She just makes him turn full-circle to get a better look.] You bet it's my job. I design clothes specifically to accent people's best-looking parts. So, you know, in order to do that I need to know what those parts are. [She's just going to look at him then to admire her work.] You look great. And a lot less bothered.

[But it's not his fault he gets into fights! But he will turn around in a circle, as weird as it feels.] I feel a lot more comfortable, actually. I didn't even think clothes had an effect like that. It's really helped.

[It's just that the universe hates him, it's okay.] The first step to feeling good is looking good. Just a philosophy I have. Besides you're a lot less bulky now so it's probably more comfortable that way, too.

[Well, obviously.] A little bit, yeah. Part of me feels a bit exposed at everything being so obvious. [What if someone notices that ass? That could be strange!]

You just have to learn how to not be self-conscious about it. You look fine, people are allowed to notice that. [Man, have you seen how Shiki dresses? Come on, now.]

I'll give it a go. I'm just used to people staring at me for all the wrong reasons. [He's not going to comment on that because he's a gentleman. Or something. Mostly, he's nice.]

That's the beauty of Luceti. People don't have the same reasons here. [Good Harry. Besides, her logic is that it's nice and warm out now. Sorta.]

I really like that about this place. It's nice to just be like everyone else, you know? [But was she dressed like that in the winter?]

Exactly that! I've tried explaining that to Neku, but he doesn't believe me. Or maybe he does, I think he just really misses Shibuya. We were only home for like a week before we got stuck here. [At least she had on leggings in the winter. And at least Harry didn't see her during the job-trade experiment when she was totally naked.]

It's something people have to learn on their own. So you were able to go back home and remember this place? [This is very true. It helps that she's too girly for him.]

Oh, no. I meant...well it's not really important what I meant, but I've been here for just a little over a year. But Neku was here for a month, left, and then he came back four or five months later and he remembered everything that had happened here. He said that when he was at home he had some vague memories of this place but nothing really solid, since when he got back I was there too, even though I'm here. That doesn't make sense, does it? [Shiki's kind of too girly for most people, it's her trademark.]
