Forty-Third Spool of Thread - [Voice/Action]

[There's the sudden sound of a bunch of boxes falling to the ground, contents spilling everywhere as the journal's camera points up to the ceiling. It shifts suddenly to focus on a particular pink-haired girl who was unceremoniously dumped into the back room of her shop on top of said boxes.]

Ugh...thanks for the warning, jerks. [She begins to untangle herself from the boxes of ribbons and fabrics, moving the journal closer to speak. For the most part, she seems pretty unharmed.]

Hey...so what day is it anyway? Here's hoping I wasn't gone too long, totally bad for business. [There's a slight beat, suddenly remembering something. You know, her housemate that was alone for like a week.] Haruhi, report. [She works her way out from under the pile of materials and the door to the back room swings open, allowing her to enter the main part of the shop.]

Neku...you better have made it back. That was pretty low of them, keeping us sort of together and then sending you back first. Besides, I was right in the middle of designing a n--

[There's a long pause suddenly as she really takes a look at the shop. She's staring at a row of dresser dummies, counting them in her head.]

All right, which one of you broke into my shop when I was gone?!

[Well she'll be seeing him jogging up to the shop a little bit later. He speeds up a little once he sees her on the railing before finally coming to a stop in front of her.

He just stares at her for a moment, then slowly reaches out to her. Hi Shiki, it's been a while since he's been able to see you.]

[And she's pretty quick to grab his hand. Boyfrieeend. She's got Mr. Mew trapped to her chest with one arm, but the other is wrapping itself around Neku's neck carefully.]

You made it back...I was pretty worried about that.

[He is okay with this.]

Are you okay?

I'm fine. They barely touched me. [Which is mostly true, but she's looking over Neku for the moment.] Are you? What happened when you got back?

I got dumped in the village late at night and I had Joshua come and get me. I'm okay though.

[Some scrapes and other injuries are visible on his arms and hands but it's nothing really too bad, his wings on the other hand are another story. He's cleaned them since but there's still splotches of red dying them since blood isn't very easy to get out of white feathers. And a lot of feathers are either missing or not in very good shape. He also might not be getting undressed in front of her for a while.]

[She doesn't exactly believe him, allowing her hand to gently move over his feathers.] Ugh, so I have to actually thank Joshua for something now? Great...

[That's... feels kind of nice.]

Want to go home?

Probably not a bad idea...have you been to the house since you've been back?

Yeah, just since yesterday. I've been sleeping mostly, though.

Been feeling okay? [She's sliding off the railing to join him on the ground.]

Just tired. [A small pause once she gets down.] ...I'm glad you're back.

[Here, have a proper hug...this way she can look over your wings again.] Me too. They seriously keep taking us at really inappropriate times, you know that?

[Hugs are good right now. And he doesn't think he needs to answer that, instead just hugging her back.]

Let's go home, okay? Unless you want to grab anything before we head back.

[He shakes his head and takes her hand into his.]

Home sounds good right now.

Okay. [She squeezes his hand gently and starts leading him to the house, keeping mind not to drag him like she usually would.]

So...Joshua took care of you?

Yeah. He got me something to eat and let me crash on the couch. I didn't think I should bug Haruhi to drag me back home.

That's...almost really generous of him. What'd he want in exchange?

I don't think he wanted anything.

Are you trying to say that he actually did something just to help?

It's hard to say with him.

Maybe I'm being too hard on him, I dunno.

...is he doing any better since when Mr. H left?

...I think so. But I don't really know, I haven't talked to him much since then.
