Somehow everybody's powers work except mine. Is that weird?

Well, I wouldn't say I have powers, more like just plain old power. As in supernatural and singular. I punch less like a girl and more like a...really well-dressed and really petite heavyweight boxer. Well, okay, probably a little more powerful than that.

But, magic and stuff? So not my field. And if I remember from when we last talked about it, you had something that sounded sorta like magic mojo.

You as a boxer? Somehow I can totally see that.

And...yeah you could say that. Telekinesis specifically, that's my best one anyway.

I heal pretty quickly, too. Throw in the occasional prophetic dream and that's the recipe for a vampire slayer.

Yeah, telekinesis is definitely on the magic side of things. Could that be why it's not working? I mean, was it a learned skill? Because I didn't learn how to heal or punch...they just sorta arrived one day.

You don't still have those dreams here do you?

Well...not exactly. If I have my pins it should work just fine and I have the pins but they don't work. I don't know what it is.

Not here, no. Haven't had a single one.

...some of them are, yeah.

And how do they--y'know--work?

Not entirely sure. I know the pins control the psychs and the psychs control our attacks but beyond that it's really hard to go into the mechanics of it.

So...his work and yours don't? Is there any difference between yours and his other than that?

He's a Reaper, which is automatically higher than a Player. That's all I can think of.

Did they seem limited in any way?

His powers here? A little, generally his attacks could easily kill us in the Game, and he can't summon super-powerful Noise to attack either.

Do you think that maybe he figured something out? Like, a way to make them work?

And pardon my repeated ignorance but, noise?

I'm not sure really...I should look into it but right now it's not really an option.

Noise are the "monsters" of the Game.

Right--now, the only option is healing up and getting mobile.

Well I've got crutches but I'm pretty sure if I tried walking very far Haruki would pitch a fit.

Apparently! I'm not sure what made him decide to be so protective of me suddenly but...it's kind of nice, I guess.

Do think that it may be because he sorta-kinda-maybe has eyes for you?
